No Peace without Palestine, No Peace Without THE Resistance, 2024
This project is part of the "Resistance Echoes" exhibition at Blå Stället Konsthall. The exhibition amplifies the voices of a group of artists who refuse to be silenced during the time of genocide committed by the Israeli occupation against Palestinians. Drawing from their lived experiences and cultural heritage, these artists confront the realities of occupation, displacement, and injustice, offering a reflection on the Palestinian struggle for freedom and dignity. This exhibition is a call to action, an invitation to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people and break the silence.
In this project, I experiment with mimicking archived Palestinian posters. According to the Palestine Poster Archive project, a web-based archives that displays the broadest possible
range of Palestine posters, the Palestine poster genre dates back to around 1900. Unlike most of the political art genres of the twentieth century, such as those of revolutionary Cuba and the former Soviet Union, which have either died off, been abandoned, or become mere artefacts, the Palestine poster genre continues to evolve.
